Farooq Altaf
Chair
Farooq Altaf leads the Greater OKC Asian Chamber of Commerce as Chair, following his tenure as Vice Chair, where he has dedicated himself to building a more connected and prosperous Asian business community across the state. Under his leadership, the Chamber has deepened its reach beyond the East Asian community to actively include and uplift South and Central Asian voices, creating a more unified table for businesses of all backgrounds. Farooq is working on initiatives supporting local business growth and economic development throughout the Oklahoma City metro and across the State of Oklahoma. His approach is rooted in bringing people together, opening doors to capital and opportunity, and ensuring every community within the Chamber has a voice in shaping its future.
Outside the Chamber, Farooq brings over 14 years of experience in business analysis, project management, and IT solutions. He currently serves as a Senior Business Analyst in Business Transformation at American Fidelity, following prior roles with Paycom, the FDIC, and Oklahoma's Office of Management and Enterprise Services. He holds a master's degree in project management and is a certified Lean Six Sigma. He is also an active contributor to the Pakistan Association of Oklahoma, helping plan community celebrations that bring culture, heritage, and neighbors together.
For Farooq, professional expertise and community service go hand in hand — his guiding principle is to show up, listen closely, and leave every table stronger than he found it.
