Hooria Suhaib

Hooria moved to Oklahoma in 2005 from Pakistan with her husband after completing her bachelors in sciences. They moved to Nashville for a year and a half for her husband’s medical fellowship training before finally choosing Oklahoma City as their home. Since completing her Masters in Counseling Psychology from University of Central Oklahoma in 2015 she has been practicing therapy along with managing their family’s real estate business. Hooria has passionately pursued her aim of supporting mental health needs of Muslim and South Asian community in OKC as a part time therapist which led her to be the founding member and Executive Director of Muslim women led non profit in OKC as well as Community Mental Health Advocate for Afghan women & children through Spero Project. Hooria is also an Alumni of Harvard Medical School Global Mental Health Refugee Trauma & Recovery training program. 

Along side her career as a part time therapist she is raising three kids and fulfilling her creative streak by running a luxury fashion brand in Pakistan as well as working with global and local fashion brands for social media marketing and campaigns. As her role shifts from being a full time mom to empty nester she is looking forward to growing her business and further more supporting the needs of Muslim and South asian community in OKC. She feels passionate about motivating South Asian immigrant women to find their sense of self through career building, social integration and civic engagement.  

Hooria finds joy in playing tennis at the OKC tennis center and Mahjong with the ladies of OCMS alliance when she can. She is grateful to have chosen Oklahoma City as her home and for the most accepting and inspiring people she has gotten to know through her various personal, social and professional roles. She looks forward to creating more meaningful relationships through her future engagements.
