Mydazjah Petties
Board of Directors & Events Committee Chair
Mydazjah Petties is the current president of the Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Committee at Tinker Air Force Base. She is the first generation of the Arcilla Family to serve the military proudly and continues to honor her heritage by giving leadership opportunities to the airmen at Tinker.
Mydazjah has spoken on group panels regarding ethnic backgrounds within and outside the workplace. She works with multiple diversity and inclusion agencies by collaborating and hosting events. In the last year, she has dedicated over 500 hours in fundraisers, events, and meetings throughout the Special Emphasis Organizations to include the Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Committee, Women’s Initiative team, Black Heritage council, and Tinker’s Hispanic Latino Heritage Committee.
Her efforts have spread awareness of Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian cultures to over 15,000 people throughout the base.
Mydazjah is an advocate for breaking generational barriers and giving people the opportunity to be their authentic selves.
She and her husband, Lorenzo are proud parents to their three dogs, Albir, Reyna, and Sesshomaru.
